Hello! I am the author of the article, and I just wanted to let everyone know that recently we may have exchanged the first email between Handshake email addresses recently. I'll be updating the article very soon with information on how to set up your own Handshake email server!

documenting some of thee learnings Rasor/ had (from his Namer community discord post)
just to keep this complete

i'll jot some notes down, there's only really a couple things unique to Handshake in regards to email:
- the actual process of hosting a mailserver on a handshake name is no different to hosting on standard dns
- if sending mail from a handshake email to a mailserver that can resolve handshake names, the email will be hit very hard in the spam filters for not being recognized as an FQDN
- you can send emails from handshake email addresses to mailservers that can't resolve handshake names, but they will be marked as spam.
- currently no email clients can authenticate tls connections to mailservers on handshake names
