How We Built Handshake Mercenary on HNS
How we built Handshake Mercenary on Handshake
Been getting more and more questions on how we got this forum, Handshake.Mercenary on Handshake HNS.
At SkyInclude we tried a ton of hosting and servers and settings - and finally, the easiest one for us to point a Handshake name was Cloudways (signup here https://go.clktrack.com/cloudways ) using a Digital Ocean Singapore server. But really, Cloudways lets you pick from a lot of different servers.
I’m making a video and will post that and the other insights on the blog at
https://skyinclude.com/cloudways
So - Why Cloudways?
Easy domain management!
Basically, Vercel and others “kind of let” you add a Handshake name (but fill our email box with warnings every day) - but Digital Ocean simply let us add a domain and that was that. No need for it to be “verified on DNS” etc.
So this is something you can do for anything you can build on Cloudways (plug and play Wordpress sites too) with really no limits.
One thing though - we didn’t add other applications on the Digital Ocean server, we needed the dedicated IP address to get the Let’s Dane SSL.
Check out this forum post on how we got SSL - with the help of Rithvik and IamFernando

Again:
You can signup for Cloudways here:
https://go.clktrack.com/cloudways
(Disclosure, this is an affiliate link so we will receive a small bonus at no extra cost to you)
Hope this inspires more people to BUILD on Handshake
Buying and selling TLD names is cool - but to get mass adoption, early adopters need to build and use what they buy/own!
